Decision taken

 

The Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner has taken the decision to:

 

Purchase a building in Darby Close, Wellingborough for £6.5m to act as a catalyst hub to bring together police and fire through the Joint Estates Strategy.  In addition to the price of the property, the purchase incurred a Stamp Duty Land Tax payment of £379,500.

 

Details of advice taken

 

Operational advice has been provided by the Chief Constable and Chief Fire Officer. Professional financial, estates and legal advice has been sought to ensure the decision best supports business need and represents value for money. Statutory officers have advised.
