We are aware that many people in our communities are pulling together to help each other through these challenging times. To support this we are making some changes to our Community grants process to make it easier for organisations, charities and voluntary groups to help support our communities stay safe and well.
Changes to OPFCC Community Grants
We will be making some changes to the way you can apply for Community grants to make sure that communities can still access funding during this period of restricted mobility and social distancing.
We recognise that during the period of lockdown and self-isolation some people in our communities may be more likely to be vulnerable than usual. There may be more people than usual experiencing domestic abuse or vulnerable to being targeted online or in their homes. We understand that organisations are having to change the way that they deliver services and we want to do the same.
What’s changing?
For the foreseeable future we will be moving to a streamlined, rolling application process for all bids to the fund. All bids received will be triaged to ensure the project is eligible for the fund and that all documentation has been submitted. It will then be passed to the grant panel for consideration.
This should hopefully enable you to be more responsive and better support people in your communities.
What has stayed the same?
Your bid will still need to meet the priorities set within the Police and Crime Plan or the Northamptonshire Strategic Road Safety Plan. Details of which can be found below.
The panel will still meet to assess your bids, but to speed the process we will reduce the size of the panel and assess applications through a virtual process.
You will still need to apply by downloading the application form and relevant documents, which can be found by clicking on the relevant tab below.
Completed applications still need to be returned to the same email address: funding@northantspfcc.pnn.gov.uk
