FOI 02032020-1 - Accidents and Crimes in Carparks

Question

Under the freedom of information act, I would like to know the following. Please break down the figures by year, for the past five years.

  1. How many car accidents / damages to vehicles in your local car parks have there been in the last five years?
  2. How many thefts have been reported in car parks in your area in the last 5 years?
  3. How many ‘other’ crimes crimes such as assaults (human) have been reported in your area in the last 5 years in local car parks?

 

 

Answer

I am writing to advise you that, following a search of our paper and electronic records, I have established that the information you requested is not held by the Office of the Northamptonshire Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner.

 

The Office of the Northamptonshire Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner (OPFCC) and Northamptonshire Police are two separate legal entities. Information regarding operational policing matters is the responsibility of Northamptonshire Police, therefore the OPFCC does not hold any of the information you have requested. Northamptonshire Police’s Information Unit may hold some of the information you are seeking. FOI 05032020-1 - Response to public consultation on unauthorised encampments

Please see below the information we are requesting under the ‘Freedom of Information Act 2000’:

  1. Did your Police Crime Commissioner submit a response to the Home Office public consultation, launched on the 5th of November 2019“Strengthening police powers to tackle unauthorised encampments” ?
  2. If so, can you please provide us with a full e-copy or hard copy of your response to this consultation?

 

Answer

2020 I am can confirm that the Office of the Northamptonshire Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner did not submit evidence to the consultation “Strengthening police powers to tackle unauthorised encampments”.

 

The Northamptonshire Countywide Traveller Unit (CTU) which brings together a specialist multi-disciplinary team to deal with the gypsy and traveller issues across the county in a co-ordinated and proactive way may have submitted a response on behalf of the county. The Chief Constable of Northamptonshire Police however assists the Northamptonshire Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner by making available resources delegated to the Force by the Commissioner. This includes Information, Communication and Technology Services. Information relating to these services is the responsibility of Northamptonshire Police, therefore the OPFCC does not hold any of the information you have requested. Question

Northamptonshire Police has launched a major campaign called #CutItOut, aimed at hair and beauty professionals and the wider public as part of its priority to tackle domestic abuse.

The campaign is being funded by Northamptonshire’s Office of the Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner and Northamptonshire Police.

Please provide the following information:

  1. How much funding was allocated for this campaign?
  1. Who is providing the training , is this a company /organisation or is the training being provided by police officers?

Answer

The OPFCC assigned £5k aside for the campaign

It isn’t training it’s an information evening with advice and guidance given from:

– DA lead for the Force plus specialist officers from Domestic Abuse Team

– CPS special prosecutor for DA

– Voice for Victims and Witnesses –IDVA/ Sunflower service

– Northamptonshire Domestic Abuse Service

– EVE- also a specialist DA provider in the county

– Hair care professionals from the county on their own lived DA experiences
