Tackling Hate Crime Fund - Grants Awarded 2019-20
This fund, hosted by Northamptonshire’s Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner on behalf of Northamptonshire’s Community Safety Board. The Board provided a one off funding pot of £11,000 to tackle hate crime and incidents across Northamptonshire. The judging panel was made up of statutory service representatives from the Hate Crime and Anti-Social Behaviour delivery group which reports into the Community Safety Board. To host a conference (held during hate crime awareness week 2019) for people with learning disabilities and local organisations to come together. The event aim was to educate people with learning disabilities about their rights to inclusion and safety in the county, and to raise awareness of hate crime and discrimination.
